Young Man Shot Dead by Police Officers in South London

BBC sources can confirm that a young black male has been shot by Police Officers in Tottenham, Central London. The 29 year-old, named as Mark Duggan, was fatally shot in the chest by officers as they tried to arrest him. It is unknown what he was being arrested for.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police Commissioner read '' Our thoughts are firstly with the family of Mark Duggan. We can't imagine what they are going through right now. However, we must also have the brave officer who was injured in our thoughts as well. It is a tragedy that is terrible but unavoidable.'

Introduction

Hi all.

I'm new to blogging but am seasoned wargamer and hobbyist who thought it would be a good idea to track my efforts on a new project. As anyone living in the UK will know, 2011 saw many riots throughout a handful of major cities, including London, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham. Thousands of police and many more thousands of rioters were involved in the urban chaos.

I have always been interested in riots and wargaming, so I thought why not combine the two?! I'll be presenting an alternate timeline along with updates on miniatures, scenery and rules used. A major goal of mine would be to write my own rules but that is still a long way off...
